Tutoring and Learning Center
The Tutoring and Learning Center works with full-time and part-time undergraduate students who need and want assistance with their courses. Although we offer supportive services, such as tutoring and workshops, a tutor is not a substitute for a professor's instruction of the course content. There is no fee for using the center. Professional and peer tutors are available for both individual and group sessions. In addition, we have 12 computers for students to work on course assignments during tutoring sessions. We do take walk-ins if a tutor is available. Appointments can be made by calling us or stopping by the center. We are located on the 5th floor of the library building.
Visit the "Frequently Asked Questions" page for detailed information on what you can and cannot expect from a tutor.
Important reminder: SStudents who need tutoring in writing must bring at least one hard copy of the completed or partially completed essay. Two hard copies is recommended. This does not apply to students who need help with starting a paper.
eTutoring is another free service offered by the University of Bridgeport to undergraduate students. Students must log in on the eTutoring website to receive tutoring services. Online tutors work for various colleges and universities in the Northeast. As participants in eTutoring, students have access to the following: Online Writing Lab, Live Tutoring, and Offline Questions. Stop by the Academic Resource Center if you need help with using eTutoring. The center is on the 5th floor of the library building.
