Six years ago I was working as a Registered Dietitian, in a New York City Hospital and during my at the hospital, I began to develop an ever-deepening interest to utilize foods as medicine, to treat the cause of an illness rather than the illness, and to gain a better knowledge in how to treat the whole body.
I was unaware that a place existed where this was happening until a friend told me about her Naturopathic Doctor who encompassed the type of care I sought to give. From that moment I was sold, Naturopathy became my drive and dedication. I researched Naturopathic Medical schools and 3 months later went on to the University of Bridgeport to become Naturopathic Doctor.
During my clinical experience at UB I had the opportunity to complete specialty rotations within pediatrics/autism, inpatient hospital care, personalized medicine, mind body medicine and physical medicine. I enjoyed training with world famous doctor, Dr.Peter D’Adamo and became certified as a Fellow of The Institute for Human Individuality.
I chose UB for its cultural diversity, its expansive clinical opportunity and its philosophy on education. Being a graduate of UB I feel proud of my education, prepared as a Naturopathic Doctor and forever grateful for the wonderful relationships I developed while a student at the University of Bridgeport.
