The Compass Mentoring Program pairs UB alumni with undergraduate students looking for educational advice, career and major guidance, and life lessons. Started by our Alumni Board in 2015, the program began as part of the living-learning experience in Barnum Hall. It is a great opportunity for alumni who appreciate what UB gave them to give something back by helping the next generation of students.
Alumni mentors do not have to be local to Bridgeport, CT—we love to welcome mentors who live in various parts of the country and world!
The program is intended to be flexible to accommodate your own schedule. You may choose to stay in touch with your student mentee with face-to-face meetings, email, phone, Facebook, or Skype. It is up to you and your mentee to decide what works best for you!
