Faculty & Staff Giving
When members of the University community make the commitment to support UB with an annual contribution, it shows that you believe in the mission of the institution. A high percentage of faculty and staff supporting the University demonstrates to foundations that those closest to the campus are committed to its success, allowing us to apply for competitive grants to enhance our programs and offer more to our students.
This year UB was ranked as one of the highest returns on investment in higher education, and our online education programs were ranked first in the country. Recently the National Science Foundation awarded UB $200,000 to educate future teachers, and local philanthropist Ernest Trefz significantly invested in the School of Business. Over the last 5 years, nearly $50 million has been invested in capital improvements to our campus. All of these accomplishments enhance UB’s reputation and wouldn’t be possible without the work that you do. When a high number of faculty and staff financially support the University, with a gift of any size, it is a clear statement of your commitment to UB, the students, and your colleagues.
The simplest way for employees to support the University is through a payroll deduction. You can choose to make a one-time gift or an ongoing contribution that is renewed annually. The form can be accessed by logging into the MyUB portal and accessing the Form Library; the document is listed under University Relations.
If you have questions about where to designate your gift or about how else you can support UB, such as through a planned gift, please contact Emily Brady, Director of Annual Giving at 203-576-4542 or email@example.com.
