As the crisis in the Ukraine unfolds, Connecticut media have turned to the University of Bridgeport’s international community for perspective.

Director of Campus Activities Craig Lennon, who moved back to the United States from the Ukraine to work at UB last fall, and student Alona Gaiek were both interviewed by Channel 8, WTNH. (http://wtnh.com/2014/03/05/ub-students-w-ties-ukraine-worry-country/)

Lennon moved back to the United States last summer from the Ukraine with his wife, who is a native of that country, and children to work at UB. Gaiek left the Ukraine at the same time to major in Mass Communications at the College of International and Public Affairs.

Students from more than 80 countries study at UB, which is among the most internationally diverse universities in the U.S.
