My name is Ivana Savic. I was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia. This is the home of my heart even though I relish traveling to other countries and experiencing and learning from other cultures.
I came to the United States for my education, to improve my English, and to make sure that I have the skills to work effectively with business leaders from everywhere in the world.
I am from a land of unparalleled physical beauty, but sadly one that is also still struggling to overcome a strict class system that does not reflect the changing values in today’s society. I am one of the fortunate ones who has access to education and the opportunity to go to college in America. In addition I also received a full scholarship for playing a basketball.
UB appealed to me most because the faculty care about the students, UB has a competitive athletic program, extracurricular life is great, and I enjoy meeting new classmates from all over the globe.
Going through my undergraduate junior year at UB I had envisioned graduating from an MBA program. Aside from the encouragement given by my faculty members, I realized that I had a longing to expand the knowledge and training that I had gained throughout my business education. Studying in the MBA program continued to shape my experience and knowledge in business and life in general.
I feel that the University of Bridgeport is the only university that offers the courses, environment, and faculty that can help me achieve my dreams. I have gained knowledge from my Graduate assistant position working for School of Business- with amazing people such as Dean Lloyd, Dean of School of Business, Arthur C. McAdams, Director, Graduate Studies & Senior Lecturer, Management and Eileen Zoppi, Executive Secretary.
While I am proud of the experiences and accomplishments that I have achieved so far, I am by no means content. I am dedicated to earning a Masters in Management and Marketing from Bridgeport University, because I strongly believe that the University provides just the type of training, education and exposure needed to pursue my future plans. This is a program and school that devoted to the development of personal qualities that are in tune with internationalism, humanism and international business – one that fits perfectly into my view of what an MBA program graduate should be.
