Working full time, being a full time mom, and going to school is challenging but I believe the key to success is education.

A Calling to Inspire Others

I went to catholic school all of my life and I learned to value education.   I obtained a degree in Office Administration and Business Management and later I attended Sacred Heart University for a year.  I decided to transfer to Norwalk Community college, where I was a work-study student in the counseling office.  The extensive training I received as a peer counselor helped me gain knowledge of the school system.

I knew then that my calling was to inspire other people to get a college degree, since knowledge is power.  Education leads to success and opens up doors that wouldn’t normally open for minorities.

An Example for My Children

In order to be an example to my children, I needed to keep learning and growing and complete my degree.   The IDEAL Program allows me to do that with their flexible schedule.

Working full time, being a full time mom, and going to school is challenging but I believe the key to success is education.  I embrace the challenge so that my children can follow in my footsteps.

An Education for Success

The IDEAL Program staff is wonderful and knowledgeable.  They are professionals who want to see their students succeed.  Continuing my education will enable me to obtain the skills I need to be more successful in my future career.
