David Burton, Ph.D.

Dr. David Burton came to the University of Bridgeport as Senior Lecturer and Chemistry Lab Manager in 1995 from a similar position at Southern Connecticut State University. In 2019 his position was converted to Assistant Professor in Chemistry. He has also had adjunct positions at the University of Newhaven and Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie NY. He has been a long standing member of the university safety committee. His Ph.D. and postdoctoral research were in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance with an emphasis on multinuclear NMR and applications of CP/MAS to coal and oil shale.
