Follow the steps below to join University of Bridgeport’s community of online learners.
Your admissions counselor will be your guide through the admissions process. They are there to help you navigate the application and can answer questions about financial aid.
Our financial aid office is here to help you understand the financial aid process. After you complete the FAFSA, you will receive an email about your financial aid package. Learn more about the process for online students.
Once you’ve been accepted, you’ll be connected to your online academic advisor. Your advisor will be the main point of contact for you throughout your degree program. If you have questions about the program of study, how long your degree program will take or how you can get extra help in a course, your academic advisor is here to help! You’ll hear from them throughout the program and they are always available if you need them.
Our online orientation is the first step in learning how to use our user-friendly, interactive distance learning course technology and learning best practices for how to be a successful online student. The online orientation only takes a few hours to complete and is a great resource for you throughout your time as a student.
Our online classes are offered in 7- or 15-week sessions, depending on the program. Either way, you’ll be using our online technology to interact with your professors and classmates. The faculty is committed to providing a great online experience where you learn what you need for your career.
Completing your program is the culmination of all of your hard work. As an online student, you receive the same diploma as our campus students and you’re more than welcome to join us for our commencement ceremony in May. If you can’t make it to campus, you can also watch from home through our LiveStream.
