BS Health Sciences: Pre-Occupational Therapy Concentration
Information Sheet
Build the foundation for a rewarding career
Occupational therapists (OTs) help people of all ages overcome physical, emotional, or cognitive challenges to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. OTs empower individuals to regain or develop the skills they need to thrive. Their work is critical in bridging the gap between health limitations and practical life, enabling patients to rebuild their confidence, maintain a sense of purpose, and improve their overall quality of life.
The Pre-Occupational Therapy (Pre-OT) concentration at University of Bridgeport prepares you with the skills and knowledge you’ll need to pursue advanced degrees in occupational therapy (OT) and make a meaningful difference in your patients’ lives.
Develop skills to succeed in an in-demand field
Through a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes both the sciences and essential skills like communication and critical thinking, you will gain the necessary foundation for becoming an advocate for OT patients. With hands-on learning and clinical exposure, this program positions you to succeed in occupational therapy and turn your passion for people into a career.
Why Pre-OT at UB?
